Thelma Siluchali

Thelma Siluchali joined the Basel Institute in April 2024 as a Programme Officer in Zambia.

Prior to joining Basel Institute on Governance, Thelma supported partner engagements and implementation of activities targeted at marginalised communities in Zambia. She worked as a Programme Assistant in nutrition programming for the UN World Food Programme, and as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and Investment Officer for its cash based transfers programme with a cooperating partner. She also worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer on the Advancement of Malaria Outcomes Programme funded by USAID, and as Community Services Officer on an urban refuge project in Lusaka with Action Africa Help, Zambia.

Thelma holds a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies with Economics from the University of Zambia and a Diploma in Public Administration from National Institute of Public Administration, Lusaka. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Agronomy at Mulungushi University in Kabwe.

Thelma speaks English, Tonga, Bemba, Nyanja and Sala.
